We provide emergency care to abandoned and at-risk children of all ages in the tri-state region of Honduras. As our organization has continued to grow, we are now a team of over 20 volunteers and staff, with more than 5 ministry buildings currently sustaining more than 4 programs.

By following best practices we strive to provide a safe and loving family for every child. Our Honduran staff, psychologists, and leadership team ensure that each child grows within their community under the care of safe adults, in order to achieve their full potential.

Over 200 children come into our care each year and many of them are reintegrated with their biological family. We are able to stand in the gap for each child while their case is being processed by child services. Because of this, children are being reunited with their biological family and we are able to play a small part in their story.

WHO WE ARE

Legacy of Hope Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to providing care to abandoned and vulnerable children in Honduras through foster care, crisis care, and family preservation, while equipping our community through trainings.

Founded in 2011, our purpose is to help children heal and eventually achieve permanency and reach their full potential. We accomplish this by ensuring every child’s spiritual, physical, educational, emotional, and social needs are met in holistic ways.
